have panned out Investigators are also checking vehicles abandoned in the Wadesboro area in an attempt to match tire tracks found on the dirt road where the murders were committed Sketches and descriptions of the victims have been shown around the Wadesboro area Sheriff's deputies are heading back to North Carolina today to continue following leads in the murders of two young people near Interstate 95 last August Chief Deputy TL McJunkin Investigator Ron Foisey and SLED agent Robert Stewart left this morning for Wadesboro NC to continue questioning a 58-year-old man who owned a 357 Magnum pistol which has been positively killings Last week deputies were able to trace ownership of the weapon from the time it was manufactured until it was found in Latta But so far they have not been able to determine who used the gun to kill the two young people McJunkin said investigators are trying to determine how the weapon got to South Carolina FREAMON JACKSON JR SUMMERTON Freamon Jackson Jr 46 was pronounced dead on arrival at the Clarendon Memorial Hospital Thursday night Bom in Jackson County Fla be was the only child of Mrs Thelma Hewitt and the late Freamon Jackson He was proved that the gun was the one used in the twin Police Arrest 4 Four persons were arrested in separate incidents at Pub on Broad Street early Sunday morning According to police reports officers were called to investigate a complaint about someone having a gun in the private club at 1:50 am Officers arrived and reported seeing two men leaving the club and a third person told the officers those men had a gun A search was made and a gun was found under a car Marion Leroy Eadon Jr 37 of Rt 3 Box 1-F Manning was arrested and charged with violation of gun laws and pointing a fire arm Eadon is being held in jail on $4225 bond In another incident three persons were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of prescription drugs According to reports officers were called to investigate a van parked outside the club at 4:45 am After a search of the van and its occupants was made several bags of marijuana and various types of pills were found Jo Ann Redmond 34 of 205 Dixie Dr was arrested and charged with possession Of marijuana and unlawful prescription drugs Reports said one plastic bag of marijuana a small marijuana cigaret and 27 capsules identified as dexepin hydrochloride were found in Redmond's purse William Floyd Callen 32 of 28 Wayne St owner of the van was arrested on the same charges Reports said one bag of marijuana was found under a mattress in the van one bag of marijuana was in his pocket and eight pills were found Arthur Joseph Poole Jr 31 of 1313 Field St Camden was also charged Reports said a pipe containing marijuana was found in his guitar case in addition to two white pills and an unspecified amount of psilocybin mushrooms All three persons were taken to the County Law Enforcement Center where a thorough search was mile north of secondary 306 in Horry County Woman Charged In Murder A 23-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Wedgefield man Saturday night Sheriff's reports said Rebecca Anderson of 24 Wil-Jons Estates was arrested and charged with the murder of 53-year-old Francis Tucker of Rt 1 Box 10A Wedgefield When ambulance crews arrived at the scene they found Tucker on the kitchen floor the victim of a stab wound in the chest Tucker was reportedly dead when authorities arrived at the home A butcher knife was used in the killing reports said Anderson was taken to the County Correctional Center where she is being held without bond Thefts Investigated Sheriff's deputies are investigating several thefts in the county over the weekend Booker Brunson 1010 Dibert St reported that someone stole a chain saw from his truck sometime Friday night The chainsaw which was valued at $450 was reportedly in his truck at the time of the theft Frances Bradham Rt 1 Box 148 house and stole a 32 caliber revolver valued at $42 Someone stole a 4 horsepower Ambassador electric pump from under the Nazarene Church Rt 2 sometime last week Value of the pump was set at $150 Wilson Hall Closed Wilson Hall School remained closed today because of the flulike illness reported last week in Sumter Eugene Nalley headmaster said he determined from a telephone survey Sunday that 35 to 40 per cent of the elementary-age children would be absent if school were held He said a -number of teachers have also contracted the flu-like symptoms The school will be closed Tuesday The Wateree District Department of Health reported today that it will be Thursday before the Department of Health and Environmental Control in Columbia has completed an analysis of throat cultures taken
